Weight Loss and Cellulite

It is often stated that if you want to lose cellulite then you have to lose weight. This is because there is a belief that being overweight automatically leads to cellulite.

That isn’t necessarily the case. Let me tell you me story.

When I was carrying a few extra pounds I woke up one day and decided to lose weight. I started going to the gym and exercsing. I started to eat right. And I started to lose lots of weight.

But no matter how small I got I still had cellulite. Don’t get me wrong. My cellulite did improve – it just never went away completely.

Thats when I started talking to a friend who gave me some advice. Cellulite apparently, was caused by a thin layer of fat underneath the skin. No matter how much exercise you do or what you eat, this layer of fat still stays there. Losing fat will get rid of some of the cellulite but not all.

To lose or at least improve the look of the cellulite that is left over you need to get busy with a cellulite treatment that targets the condition directly. This is where thing such as creams, lotions, massage and spa treatment come in.

You should combine diet and exercise with these treatments for the best results. Focusing only on the gym and food will help you a lot but only get you part of the way. You need to find the best cellulite treatments that will suit your situation, time and finances.

There are a heap of resouces online to help you discover which treatment will help you out. There are many good cellulite treamtents available but not all will suit your needs.

The Power of Postive Thinking to Lose Weight

I said in the previous post that your thoughts are what are stopping you from losing weight.

You need to think positive. Stop looking at those skinny girls and being jealous of them – I know you do.

Instead, feel good for them. Compliment them (but don’t be needy and expect something in return). Use the positive energy you create to spur you on for you goal to losing weight. If you have negative thoughts running through your mind you’re just going to feel bad and in turn do what you do when you feel bad – eat and be lazy.

Thinking positive is a skill. You’ve trained yourself for all these years to feel and think in bad ways. So you need to learn to be more positive and this will take time. But keep at it. Change your thoughts, change your feelings and use the positive energy to spur you on to get into all those good habits that you know you should be doing but you’re not.

Create a positive environment for yourself. Get rid of people who are negative and naysayers. Its harsh but you are more important. Make yourself the priority and get out there and be postive about losing weight today.

My First Post to My Weight Loss Blog

Hi! This is my first post to this blog and I’m very excited about it.

I want this blog to be about losing weight. That’s right,  shredding those pounds. I want to be an inspiration to all those women out there that have struggled with their weight.

I don’t want you to be jealous of those skinny girls anymore. I want you to look just like them!

Over the last 12 months I have lost a tremendous amount of weight and I look good. I’m proud to say it. And I want to show you how.

Whether you want to lose body fat fast and heaps of it, or you want to just lose a little bit of weight. Regardless of your size I will show you how I did it exactly and how I kept it off.

And what about me? I’m 42 years old. I use to be skinny, in my teenage years. Then after two kids things began to change. I began to put more and more weight on. And what did I care? My husband loved me, all my energy was taken up with the kids. I didn’t have the time or motivation to lose weight.

And then my husband left. For someone more thin.

It was the lowest point in my life. But looking back now it was a very postive experience for me. I realised that I had left myself go. If I couldn’t love myself, why would a man?

So, I took action. I picked myself up and changed my life. I started to exercise, to eat the right foods. I did a weight loss program. And overtime I started to see results.

And you know what? When I looked at my friends I began to realise why I was succesful and they weren’t. In fact, as I lost the weight some friends would no longer talk to me – they couldn’t bear to see me succeed. It wasn’t willpower, it wasn’t motivation.

It was their mind. They thought it was too hard. They thought they couldn’t do it.
